Hace ya un tiempo que entró en funcionamiento el nuevo portal de la web de la EPS, el cual suponía desde un lavado de cara hasta un avance tecnológico importante que hace tiempo que hacia falta.
Desde Milana's world nos enteramos que la arquitecta creadora y responsable del nuevo portal obtuvo ayer la puntación máxima posible (Matrícula de Honor) después de presentar su proyecto final de carrera. Muchas felicidades para la nueva Ingeniera Técnica en Informática de Gestión con intensificación en IPO (Interacción Persona Ordenador).

Yeah, updating wordpress is a pleasure compared to other php applications. Less than 5 minutes, I wasted mor time dealing with the apache redirects so the blog sits now into the root.
Actualizar wordpress es un placer comparado con la actualización de otras aplicaciones php. Menos de 5 minutos, he perdido más tiempo jugando con las redirecciones de apache para que el blog se mantenga en la raiz del sitio.
I'm very impressed with the latest release from the phpbb Group, there is a really big distance between the old phpbb2.
During the lasts weeks I have been preparing the upgrade from the old version to the one, but as you know it is not as simple as swapping some files or touching some buttons. Subversion, Trac, the wiki, everything is tied to the forum user database. There is a small change that requires to update all the authentication subsystems of all the other applications. In the meantime, I have found a better authentication plugin for the wiki, that allows users to access to both applications on a single sign-on, although svn and trac may need to continue using the old way.
This is only one of the modifications that need to be done. The forum templates need to be upgraded, also I want to unify the look and feel of the wiki/forum and the others apps. Because I do not have enough time for this work, I will post an announcement asking for some volunteers. If nobody volunteers then the forum will stay with the default templates.
The other important modification is the spam-bot-assassin code.
Some of the new stuff that will be available in the Alcugs and 7d7 project forums are:
* Attachments to eat my server bandwidth.
* Multiple forums/sub-forums and categories.
* Warning system.
* Awesome tools for moderators. (they will be able to ban by username,mail,ip, etc...)
* Moderation queue for trolls.
* And several others.
